Display Design for The National Trust

The National Trust at Stowe wanted to promote an Autumn Rambles campaign to get people trying different walks around the estate. Their visitor centre has a 9 metre long empty wall. And they specifically didn’t want to see any plastic map holders. None. Anywhere.

The idea to avoid plastic holders was to tie the trail maps onto the laces of some huge walking boots, for guests to tear-off and go. These boots stood out from the wall, along with a central graphic panel. This was all visually tied together with footprints that ran along the floor from the entrance, up the wall, then down and out towards the door to the estate.
