Types of information we collect:

When you visit our website, a small amount of data is collected and saved by the web browser you are using – these are called Cookies. “Yum!” you might reasonably think. No, sorry. These are not those kind of cookies. The cookies we’re talking about here are not nearly as exciting. When someone visits www.beanwave.co.uk Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour. For example, the country where you’re visiting from, which web pages you found most interesting. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. Nor do we know what you had for dinner last night.

Subscribing to our email list

If you’re on our mailing list it’s because you’ve signed up to say you’d like to subscribe to receive news from Beanwave. Thanks for that. And fear not. We do not share your email address with anyone else. That’s a pinky promise.

When you sign up online, the information goes directly to our subscription list. When we want to send you news and offers, we use a secure service provided by MailChimp to send news on our behalf. They are compliant with the GDPR regulations and their privacy policy can be viewed here:

Buying a product from us

The order information we collect is stored securely and only used for the purpose of getting you the correct items as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We collect the following information:

Postal Address and, if different, the billing address.

We have listed below the processes of partner services that we use to fulfil your order. They all comply with the current data protection regulations, so you can rest assured that your information is private and secure at all times. You should note that we do not have any control over these organisations and we advise you look at their privacy statements if you’d like further information.

Commissioning a service from us

The information you provide us is stored securely and is used only for purposes required to communicate with you when providing a quote and to carry out work you have commissioned us to do. We do not share your details with anyone else. No way José.

We use reasonable physical, procedural, technical and administrative security measures to protect your information against loss or theft as well as unauthorised access and disclosure to protect your privacy. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Nobody can really, can they?

We may at times provide links on our site to third party websites. These websites have separate privacy policies, and we therefore cannot accept any responsibility for the content. As such, choosing to follow these links is a choice you make at your own risk, and we advise that you check these websites’ individual privacy policies before submitting any information.
